Corinne Whiteway

Parent Support Worker / Bus Driver

Meet Corinne

Aniin!
My name is Corinne Whiteway. I am an Early Childhood Educator III. I have four children, one grandson (Eli Whiteway) and I am married to my wonderful husband, Roland Whiteway.
We do things together as a family. We enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, having BBQs with other family members, and travelling together.

I have been employed with Berens River First Nation at Aboriginal Head Start as a Parent Support Worker since 2004, and in 2012, I became a bus driver for our little AHS children.
I began as an Educational Assistant with the Berens River Frontier School Division in 2002. I went to Adult Education in 2005 to get my Grade 12, and I graduated in June 2006.
In 2006, I applied for a distance course through Assiniboine Community College for my Early Childhood Education II, and I graduated in June 2010. I have my E.C.E. III diploma.

I have 18 years of experience with children.
I am now furthering my education and aiming for my Bachelor of Arts Indigenous Development Studies.

CERTIFICATES: I have my First Aid and Food Handler certificates. On March 30, 2026, I passed my school bus certificate, and now I am a classified Class Two full-bus driver.

CAREER: I chose this field because I love my job and enjoy working with little children. They make me smile, and I care deeply for them. I also love working with students to help educate and encourage them as they work toward their future goals and stay strong in school. We need to praise and support our future children and students.
